| 3rd time, still no crawl
Today, I replaced the spur gear in my creeper. I was hoping that all my problems were now behind me and I could go crawling. Instead, I'm bummed out. When I started building it, I used the Novak Rooster Crawler Reversible Electronic Speed Control & the 55T Brushed Motor. The pinion and spur are meshed good. The only thing is, the motor just spins. No gear movement at all. Not even the pinion. The armature (I think, that the pinion is bolted to) doesn't move either. I just get a whining sound of the motor spinning. Can anyone help me?

check and make sure you didnt have a screw fall into the motor case,,it might be jammed. take a sharpee marker and make a small dot on the end shaft of the motor that faces forward where you can see it,,apply a little throttle and see if the dot moves,,if it doesnt then the motor might be jammed internally

make sure the pinon set screw is on the flat spot of the motor shaft, ive got the same setup and had no problems from the factory, its a good motor and should work properly

| this sounds like the motor is jammed,,its not turning,,the whine is the current screaming through the motor under load.,,just my thoughts. id pull the motor out and see if it spins under radio control outside the rig,,if it spins then you have something bound up inside the tranny or drivetrain,,if it doesnt spin then you need to really look close at the motor inside to see if something is jammed inside of it.
