Default Wife's new creeper!

She caught the crawler bug and wanted her own. So here it is a Venom Creeper.

Default Build Notes

In my opinion instructions and parts bags could have been laid out better. Like many of the threads I have read there was at least one problem with my kit:
1) I had 3 left c hubs and 1 right (luckily my friend had an extra right)
2) Did not get a couple of hardware bags and duplicates of others.
3) noticed several typos in instructions.

What I Like so far:
1) Styling is cool!
2) Amazing features for the price.
3) Diff gears seem to be great quality.

What I am concerned about:
1) mixed quality parts.
2) transmission design, (in my opinion gear shafts are to long for limited support) plus if you follow instructions and wait until the end to install the motor, what a challenge.
3) Missing or incorrect parts.
4) diff lock seams weak.

Just Finished

Will give my review of first drive after some sleep!

Default First Drive's

At first I was unimpressed, it would not go over any of the lines in my home course. That was probably because home course was set up to challenge my super basher.

After moving some rocks around it did great! I ran 5 packs through it today, here is what had to repair throughout the day:
1) broke 1 servo horn
2) Lost one pin in drive line, had to tighten others a couple of times.
3) Scratched the hell out of all the pretty red arms.

After running it hard on the big rocks all day:
1) I think suspensions set up needs some serious redesign.
2) I think it has to high of a center of gravity.
3) Don'T like servo mounting position.
4) Love the gearing and very impressed with my first shafty.
5) What am I going to do with this big cooler of bats I had from my race buggy, this thing runs forever on one pack.
6) Rocks are heavy!

Will post some action shots and new chassis/suspension plan when I get them done.

What motor esc combo would you recommend for a beginners truck?

Just bought a Creeper myself.

I decided to go with the Novak Goat 3s 18.5t.

I spoke to Novak and Venom... both had good input. I looked through the posts here - looks like quite a few guys run brushed and brushless.

I like the flexibility Novak gives you in the BL motors and in the Goat ESC.
