In my welding class I was told to build some thing that tested my free hand on the fly skills. So here we go I'm almost done with the chassis ill post pics within the day and I should be ordering ny creeper today or tommorow. This wil be a slightly slow build so be patient.

that wasent what i was expecting...i was expecting your run of the mill straight tubes with some bends. looks good man. great way to come up with your own design!! if im looking at the drawling and measurements its alittle over 4 inches tall...how long is the total chassis?

I got the basic idea of it from extreme4x4, but put my own twist on it. I did run into a slight problem today and that is that, its only 10 1/4" long and I'm not sure where to set the wheel base at. So what do you guys think is the shortest and yet mostly stable wheel base I can have on this thing?

im thinking if you want to go with comp specs. im thinking run the the axles 1 inch beyond each end. then maybe put a stinger on the front so the front axle isnt sticking way out there???

Ya I was thinking about goin with a bigger stinger on the front, but I tacked 1 on there and it looked horrid. So I think I'll set the wheel base at 12" and go from there cause who's knows it might look alright just the way it is.

So my kit got here today so I went to the hardware store to see what they had for paint and they didn't have safety orange so I got floresent green instead so I'm goin to paint every thing yhat would be red or aluminum green and the chassis too with stainless panels. Ill post pictures tomorrow when the parts are dry.

So I brought my chassis home today and I've decided that for now I'm going to have it be just a body until I drive it and do a lil bit of engineering. So here's a couple pics sorry if there terrible I took em with my phone.

i like it. i've been watching that xtreme 4x4 build religiously. deffinetly something cool and different. ive been teaching myself to weld in my garage and i have much more learning to do. i think it looks great just needs to be longer to cover the axles more to make it more proportional but other than that i think its awesome. keep it up.

Hey my dad used to get thrown out of the bars every time he went to anchorage. Sorry that was just a fun fact but ya I might make another one and make this one into a 1.9 frame and make the second one longer.
