I've always liked Basic Black

But what are the socket head screws for? Do they actually hold anything inside the body or are they just for looks?

They are just for looks. I got a few more ideas I'm going to try with the body also.

The black does look good. Pity it won't stay that purdy for long.

With the body uncut and mounted that low the tires sure are gonna catch on it. Speaking of which, sipe those babies and they'll be much better. And get a shorter screw for the steering link too.

Yeah the body will get trimmed a little more.

I also cut the steering link screw after I took theese pics. Still got LEDs and some other things to add to the body. Will post pics soon.

Very nice - did you get the axles spinning free?

Yeah I finally got everything spinning nice. I locked the Diffs with JB Weld. I had to clearance all the C-Hubs and shorten the C-Hub screws also. As far as the upgrades goes, the only parts I could use were the VCD pin collars. I had to use the regular VCD shafts because the upgraded ones wouldn't allow me to put the Hex adapter pins in. They were too long for some reason.

I also had to make the holes larger on the VCD Couplers. They would not fit on the transmission output shafts. I finally just went with the NON upgraded ones and they went right on.

Oh well......I sure got the short end of the stick with the upgraded parts but it finally crawls and I really like it so I'll just be happy that i'm happy.

I'm thinking about putting an interior in it and cutting out the windows.

Thanks.....I wanted to give the appearance of bolted on panels. It really looks good in person.

I went back and redid my axles as well- same issues you had. They spin perfect now. The upgraded cvd joints fit ok, but I had to file the pin hole a bit larger on one - they were machined off center.

Love the stealth look...
