Got bit by the Creeper bug...I picked one up with the remote lockers just for the axles...figured they were decently priced and the locking/unlocking idea seems interesting. I ended up building the entire thing anyway as I was reading the threads on here and it sounds like a worthy rig. So here it begins, a base creeper with the HD lockers added, a 65t lathe, small 2s and 645MG to get started. Spent a lot of time shaving, shimming and smoothing to get everything turning nice and smooth - the axles needed a little work out of the box. Picked up paint and a servo horn today, should get some color on it this weekend. Nothing fancy...like to run it "box stock" at least once. ![]() ![]() I like the stance of this rig...painting should be fun. I just picked up a second one (green) for spares, and to raid the parts for other builds. Last edited by OSRC; 10-13-2011 at 07:18 PM. |

^^ It doesn't stay clean for long! ![]() Finally painted the creeper....eh. Painting is never going to be my thing. Don't care, will be beating on it soon enough. I like the look of the stock body actually. ![]() ![]() Looking forward to a stock run or two, than I'll begin to tinker. Snow will be flying soon, only have a few weeks left to play. |
