Default Noob in need of help!

Hello! I am new to the rc crawler world and to the rc world in general. Although I've always wanted and rc truck ive never been lucky enough to own one until recently. A work friend gave me a venom creeper crawler completely built but it didn't have a motor or a battery pack. I need advice on what type of motor and battery pack I need. Any other advice or help you guys could give me would be immensely helpful! Thanks in advance!

I use a tekin fxr with 55t motor and 3s 1300mah but mine it built as comp crawler(slow). I would suggest reading some of the build threads to get an idea what you want out of it.

Thank you for the input! I would like mine to go a little faster than an average crawler but not so fast I burn up a motor or strip my gears in the tranny. Any advice on how I might do that?

35T motor, either Novak, Tekin or Holmes Hobbies and 2S for slow and 3S for speed. What terrain are you wanting to drive this on? Just trails? or?

Thank you for your advice! As I stated before I know very little when it comes to rc cars so please bear with me. What does 2s and 3s mean?

2S and 3S is the lipo batteries. 2S means 2 cells in series. 3S means 3 cells in series

2S=7.4v and 8.4v when charged.
3S=11.1v and 12.4v when charged.

Look at the turnigy 2200mah 3S 20-30c batteries. If you have many questions about lipos there are threads in the newly section that discuss everything you will need to know.
