Default Slop!!!

I just noticed that my creeper has developed a little SLOP! What I mean by that is that I can move it back and forth about a half inch before the axles catch. Is this normal or what!

its just signs of the gears wearing and cvd's wearing. nothing big to worry about right now. if u are trucly worried thou, just go in and rebiuld your cvd's and reshim your pinion and bevel gears and problem solved. i can move mine about an 1in. back and forth but i dont really worrie about it.

well the thing is they wear down to a sertain point very quickly, then stay a that point or very slowly wear down more as u run it till the point they break. my truck is over 3 years old and im still running stock axles and i have about and 1in. of back and forth.

the parts will wear quickly till they get to there "run spot" or the point in which they run with no issues and are fully broke in

Wear and wearing out are two different things...imagine a regular chain like you lock something up with...each link only has a bit of movement...but put all of that movement together and you can make the chain really short compared to its extended length...drive shaft slop is another thing to consider...check your drive yokes too

May be as simple as the set screws holding the wheel hubs to the outer axle shafts coming loose.
I'd check that first.
