I just got a venom creeper and i was putting the drive shafts together and this one little piece would not fit its product # is 8318 does any one know why that is or some info that could help. Thanks.

I believe if you use the upgraded parts (Pin retainers) the set screws that hold the pins in are not needed. Mine did not fit either, but I changed over to traxxas shafts.

the upgraded kits have retainers for the cvd's and for the drive shafts...

You have to have the set screws to hold drive shafts on but on the cvd's axle shafts you dont...

Can you turn a venom creeper into a venom safari creeper by putting a frame or chassis on it

A Venom Safari is a Creeper...with frame rail kit bolted on top and a body and a dig unit.

Does the Traxxas 2056 servo come with a servo arm or do you have to buy one?

A 2056 only has 80 oz/in of torque..do you plan on using it for the dig or steering? It isnt even close to being a steering servo except for maybe a mini rc.

No...if it was pre-wired it would say so...or if it came with wire it would say so. It a selling point in advertising.

I just got my creeper running tday and i was going up this obstacle i made and my right front tire got caught and i hit forwards and snapped the short axle shaft. it sucks i will prbly get one tmrw though

i want a more scale rc and i already have the venom creeper so i think i was going to turn the venom creeper into the safari creeper but i dont know what parts to get and could you mount the shocks of the venom creeepr straight up and down by mounting them to the frame. i want the frame rails and everything because i want to put a chevy blazer body on it.

Some small aluminum angle or flat bar from the local hardware store can make a cheap and very strong scale ladder frame.

ok and i have a venom 50t motor with a axial ae-1 esc and want it to go a little faster so i was thinking of useing a axial 20t or 27t motor would that work with that esc and all stock parts along with the stock motor pinion gear

If you stick with the 50t motor and just change to a 19tooth pinion I think youll like it a lot better....youll lose a lot of low end power on a low turn motor.

Agreed. If you want a bit more speed but still are crawling I would not go below a 35t unless you are just trailing. Id run the 50t with the 19tooth like Thomas said unless you are trailing which you could run a 27t. Also running a lower turn motor like a 20t and torqueing it to hard to climb rocks can fry brushes and the esc so make sure if you are crawling alot to not run lower then a 35.

X2.. I run a 45t with a 15t pinion an can use it as a trail rig.. now that's with 3s.. I run my trail rig(scx-10) with a 35t on a 15t pin as well.. I do lots of crawling with my scale rig setup that way an have yet to have a problem.. I didn't have any problems with my stock 27t out of the axial either but like the extra torque I get now with the 35t.. an that just took 3rd in a mile an half g6( trail run) .. I wasn't at max throttle by any means.. the creeper keeps up with it, just fine! Hope this helps..

On the shocks is it better to have the shock adjustment all the way down or up based on crawling. Right now i have them close to the top and i am not getting enough ground clearance because i keep getting hung up on rocks.

screw the adjusters down to raise your truck, this will also make the shock stiffer.

what is the best oil weight to switch to in the creeper, I am still running the stock oil weight which i think is 25wt and my shock shafts are barely out of the shock body?

25wt is the best in my opinion thats what I use and Thomas use. when you put them together cycle the shaft and make sure your geting full motion.

Currently I am having some problems with my axial ae-1 esc and I think it is time to get a new esc and i was looking at this

I was wondering if this is a good setup for the price or should i get a different esc?

i think i figured out what my problem is, I think it was the servo cuz the esc connects to the transmitter and the truck goes forward and reverse but the steering wont work so i think it is my steering servo. I am thinking about getting the CKRC Special MG946R, 208oz Torque Metal Gear Servo.

Finally got my parts in today and got the creeper fixed also got a 19t motor pinion and it runs so much faster. Anyways, I have a problem with my body clearance from my tires because every time I turn I rub and I was wondering if there is a solution to this like get 1.9tires and wheels or just stick with 2.2. I would like to get mudslingers and I dont know if i should get 1.9s or 2.2s.

IF you are going to go the scale route then you need to adjust the wheelbase a bit as the tires do not match the wheel wells. It looks like you are off by about an inch or maybe 1 1/4in Divide the difference you are off by half then remove that amount from the front and rear links to get the wheel base right. You will probably have to redrill the holes in the body after the adjustment. You will still probably have to cut the fenders out some. You can also make a scalish frame from 1in C channel steal you can get at the hardware store or use aluminum bar. You will have to make some shock mounts. Doing this greatly reduces the torque twist and the articulation but helps to have a more scale articulation and it shouldnt rub as bad.

IF the wheelbase doesnt bother you the only option is to cut the fenders out, or raise the body up by using different shocks or different body mounts of some kind. Raising the body though adds higher COG so it will roll over easier.

1.9 are only a little smaller. most are 4.25-4.75 so only about 1/4-3/4in diff between the 1.9s and stock. If I remember correctly the stock creeper wheels are only 5in tall.

Before I would change link geometry or link length I would get some 1.9 wheels and tires...swap them in and then look at the set up again...I would then center the rear wheels cut outs over the rear axle and adjust the link length in the front.

Well the easiest way to shorten the wheelbase is to cut the links a bit on each end or front which ever you want, as the wheel base of the creeper is to long the body is to short for the stock creeper wheel base.
