Got to do some testing with the new softer springs and the beef tubes in the rear the added weight in the rear seemed to help the most.

I really like the line on the second picture down. Did you run the creeper a KF last weekend and how did it do?

I only had room for the berg and the scaler at KF.

i've been looking for who got the beef tubes and found your thread.

one of the things i want to do with my rig is clock the c-hubs/knuckles back more so i can improve the driveshaft angle. do you think that with the beef tubes installed a person could shave down the hexs on the ends of the axle housing down to be round so that the c-hubs could rotate back. then we could drill an additional hole through the axle housing into the beef tube to hold everything in place?

i plan on taking a look at this tonight. without beef tubes to hold things in place this would not be possible. maybe i'll fab up some kind of tube to slip in the axle housing. ideas, ideas, ideas!

I don't see why it wouldn't as long as you used aluminium chubs

Well the venom had its first failure at a resent comp,It broke the end off a front axle shaft whare it go's into the locker,Now these were moded RCP crawler MIP cvds for a wheely king.It made it through 6 comps and about 5 practice outings I think that's pretty darn good for a venom.

Sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere, but did the Axial overdrive gears fit straight into the Creeper diff?

No they don't,it has a hot racing ax10 steel diff locker shimed to fit the creeper housing.

Any more info on what was required to fit the axial locker and gears into the venom housing?
Would the stock creeper shafts go into the locker or is there more involved than just bolting the bits in?
Just wondering as I am looking for options to overdrive the front and underdrive the rear of my creeper.
Thanks

The stock venom and axial axle shafts are to short to fit.I had to use RCPs MIP shafts from a wheely king(I had to cut them down to fit lenghth wise) Then I had to use RCPs MIP TLT stubs to get the pivet point rite,Long story short I don't think it's worth the cost. The rear is all venom parts.

Was the overdriven ring and pinion modification to the front axle "worth" the time and $$$ investment? Everytime you break an axle do you have to narrow the replacement or modify for the outer TLT stub?

I have a lot of spare time in the winter so the times not a big deal,I still have to contact RCP Crawlers to see if I can buy just the axle shafts with out the CVD and stub axle for the wheelyking. You don't have to mod the TLT shaft at the CVD.The wheely king axle has to be shortend and the flat spot ground in to fit the diff.
