| Ven-Axial Trail Creeper ( Atomik pay attention! )
It's not that i didn't like my creeper. In fact my creeper could almost crawl over anything but thanks to rudeboyz, crawler ted and of course mepic himself. I decided to convert my venom creeper into a trail truck. here are a few of the before pics. Both axles are locked with parts from venom. Just showing off the flex! Knowing i wanted to convert this to a scale/trail rig. I cleaned the back axle up with HR aluminum axle ends and modified some axial AX10 shafts to fit inside. Snow test just after the solid axle mod. Here's the last pic of my creeper in creeper form. Was around Thanksgiving time 2012. Another pic with the GF's Safari. This would be the last run for my creeper for awhile. So with winter approaching here in upstate NY. I need a project and still wanted to make a trail rig. I spent many of hour researching and then finally knowing where to start. I needed a frame. Not just a frame but an axial SCX10 honcho frame. Evil ebay had found me one! While looking for a frame. I knew what body i wanted well over a year ago . The Tamiya Hilux Bruiser Yota body. I'd be giving my creeper turtle its hard shell finally. Last edited by Z0MB13; 04-26-2013 at 10:35 PM. |

So now that i had the major parts in my hands. Now it was time to get to work! BAM! Transmission and axles transplanted! Just had to drill a frew extra holes into the Axial frame to make it work. I did however had to get new shocks as well. The crappy venom shocks where way to long. So i took a chance on some G-made 90mm shocks. Before drilling the upper linkage into the axial frame in order to correct my drive line angles. Here's a pic shortly after the driveline was corrected and the body mounted. I decide to get the yota box after all. Did a little looking around for bumpers and really like the Proline's. Last edited by Z0MB13; 04-26-2013 at 10:39 PM. |

Great build, looks in the later pics that your pinion angles are primo, what's your secret? Did you relocate upper link mounts on the axles?

Well now that I've got more into crawling and bought a wraith. I've switched my ven-axial back to the stock venom and will be taking this axial and yota body onto making it something else. |
