Default Want to buy a Creeper Kit...

So I am looking to buy a creeper kit for my 6 year old son luke. What would you fellas recommend for a motor and any parts upgrades right out of the box ?? He would be following my wraith and both are for crawling only. Thanks guys !!

For me I would run a 45t motor with a 19t pinion. Sure it won't have axle breaking power, but then again, it won't have axle breaking power. I am currently running that very combo in mine and I have stalled it a few times but no broken parts. I even put a stock driveshaft back in it. 2S lipo battery as well. There isn't really a lot of bolt in upgrades available for it. Check the pictures and video thread out and see who has done what to theirs. Also check out some of the builds in here.

I would start by going through and reading the RMDW Ts & Ts & setup at the top of the page,I'd lock both front and rear diffs with JBweld or get the ATOMIC locker for the axles.**** sells a stage2 kit that helps the suspension work better.

I guess you can't type a certain shops letter on the site any more?

Atomik is supposed to be releasing a new rig that will have interchangeable parts with the creeper.

even tho the creeper does not have alot of upgrades it is just as capable as the ax10 as i own both and actually the creeper breaks far less than the ax10 the only bdthing i would say about the creeper is the tranny as you cant run a velenion in it as it just strips gears but if you plan on just crawling with it it is an awesome rig for the buck as i would buy the creeper before an ax10 anyday

You must not have seen my brushless 3S videos. So long as the pinion is set up right the trans is tough, but then you have everything else that starts breaking.

If you don't mind going used Creepers can be had for a very good price second hand. I just picked one up in a trade but the guy was only asking $75 and that was with a servo and a motor. Nice to see you and your Son doing this hobby together!
