changing the drive ratio in my front axle hi, Iv'e heard a tip from a friend for a change that he's going to do on his competition scx10. the tip is to make the front axle run a little bit faster and this way the front wheels pull the truck more than what the rear wheels push you so you gain more grip on the climbs. my question is if I can buy new gears for the axle to change my drive ratio? roy |
Yes just buy either axial over drive gears for the front or under drive gears for the rear. It does make a big difference. I had both in my jk but it was to much with the over drive and under drive. Especially in reverse. If you spend lots of time on the rocks then both might be good but for a trail rig I'd go with one or the other |

I was assuming he was working on an scx10. Interesting that venom doesn't make o/d u/d tho. |

Sorry my phone was acting up and I didn't even know I was in the creeper section. |
Re: changing the drive ratio in my front axle if memory serves me, the Axial rings do fit the venom with some minor modification. |
