Well it'd be a trip for you but there are several spots that I love to visit, but it gets old by yourself. My favorite is the bottom of the Quechee Gorge it's a half mile walk down from the parking lot but it's worth it. The other difficulty is waiting for the water level to calm down from the spring thaw and the bunch of rain we've had... I usually don't bother go until at least July the more ledges that are exposed the better. My rigs have gotten most of thier rock rash from the N. Springfield dam in Springfield.. Much of it is off limits but the very edge next to the airport seems to be fair game.. I've been crawling there for years and no one has bothered me. The number of lines that can be tried and thought up are endless.. I still don't get bored there. If you ever wanted to meet up there for some crawling some weekend don't be shy I'd love the company. The best spot I've found for scaler type terrain is the Weathersfield hiking trail that goes up Mnt Ascutney.. Several small brooks to cross and a great rocky trail with some great obstacles to navigate through. |
