Default Quechee gorge part 3

I'm starting to see rocks at the bottom the the gorge again. I can't believe how much rain we have gotten. I think if it stays like this in a week or so it should be good will keep updates coming. Maybe an we can have a gtg soon

Good man. Keep up the scouting reports. I really hope we can actually GTG there before it snows.

Is there a particular address or location that I can use to map out how far it would be for me? My friend and I would like to go but we'd be driving down from the Burlington area.

I'm not local to the gorge, but I know it's about ten minutes off of the Bethel exit on I-89. It's a little under 45 minutes for me coming from East Barre, so it's likely about 1.5 hours from burlington.

Hopefully one of the other guys can give you an exact address.

I believe it's exit 1 off l-89 and head west on rte 4 until you come into Quechee. Once you're there you can't miss the gorge. If you drive over a verrrry high bridge you've just driven over the gorge and need to turn around.

I'm pretty sure it's exit one but I come from south of Quechee so my route is entirely different so I don't know for sure. What ever exit puts you on rte 4 is the one you want. ;)

Cool. We crawl in Essex just below the dam. It's an awesome spot and it sounds like the gorge will be similar terrain.

Here is a little overall view of the area. There is a little more terrain to the right that can't be seen in the pic.

I visited the area in Jus' pic last spring and the entire area was covered in water. The pic makes the area look alot smaller than it is.

Hows the first weekend in August work for everyone? Say either saturday or sunday at 9AM?

I kind of miss my old stomping grounds. I grew up in Windsor, but this entire area was always home. Sure miss it at times.

Ah, my wife and I love VINS. The bottom of the gorge is a popular swimming spot. Rocks are usually fairly open other than the occasional sun bather. As long as we can find a parking spot we should be OK. Hah
