Default Indoor Course??

Would any of you guys would like to see a indoor crawling course? Thinking it would be fun to have a couple get togethers throughout the winter to chit chat about winter builds and have some fun with the trucks. It will be mainly for scx10 sized rigs...possibly wraiths to.

Let me know if you're interested and if you want to see anything in particular in the course. We are already planning on some water features and elevation changes. Also it wont be a loop, like to make it pretty twisty and turny.

Feel free to comment anything!

Very cool guys. we hopefully gonna get some pics up where this thing will be to give you guys a idea how big it will be. I will defiantly keep ya posted!!

Tedo, yeah the U4 thing isnt set in stone for us yet. Should just take things one at a time. Probably once the indoor course is done we wil probably focus more onto the U4 stuff.

You mean play with toy trucks in the winter on something other than snow and ice?

Why yes, I would be interested in that.

Possible locations?

Possible size?

If it's somewhat close to Montpelier I have friends with a dump truck and a quarry who'd likely donate delivered rock for beer.

The wish list for said not-snow-covered course would be:

Rope or wire bridge.

Something so steep that it can only be driven down, not up.

Some wacky V-notch/crevice that can be driven lengthwise carefully, or flopped into not carefully.

A small scaleish gap jump (less than 12") for those of us who are brave or stupid.

Did my Twin hammers hear something about a U4 course?

I like where this is going. I can put in labor. Lots of it.

Would be awesome to have dirt too along with concrete, rocks and wood.

!!!

Definitely need some dirt. Indoor course or not, just wouldn't feel right without some dirt.

Really like the enthusiasm!! The course would be in St.Albans. The space is unknown right now because they are redoing the building in his grandfather is going to be storing his antique tractor collection in there. Once we get those in we will be able to see what we have for room. Sounds like it will be more than enough. Ill update as I get/know more info!

We already have contacts for truck loads of pallets when we are ready. We like to place the terrain on pallets so we can move them outside in the summer and we can mix match items to change stuff up a bit. Probably use some sort of landscape fabric with side boards so we can contain the "trail" haha

While St Albans is quite the trek for myself and others, I'll make it to play with toy trucks. I'll even carry carpoolers if it helps out.

I have the week of christmas off from work, so we should pick a date that week. lol.

So the course is going to be alongside a tractor museum? Just another reason to attend.

Hahaha pretty much. It's Chad (he was at STL) grandfathers collection. Here is a little teaser pic. We should be much more active towards this in the coming weeks once his house is all set. But here is a teaser pic

That's some very nice vintage iron. Is there any chance I may sit on one and make tractor rumbling noises?

Not sure about that lit up EXIT sign, might be a little too legitimate.

Don't even say that it's heated.....

Dumb question, but how do you move the palletized terrain? Is there a pallet jack or forklift on site?

Bahaha yes it's heated as well. There is a pallet jack on site. We are also tossing up the idea of lockable caster wheels because we are using the larger pallets.

I'll let you guys know. Maybe we can get the materials there ready and do a work day?
