Default My rock racer test video - Powered by Holmes Hobbies.

Here is a short video of some crawling and jumping footage taken last weekend. I was basically wanting to test how much crawlability the Holmes Hobbies Cobalt Puller 7T motor attached to a RC4WD R2 2 speed tranny and powered by a 3s lipo pack had, as well as test out the jumping ability. The motor provided plenty of low end resolution for slow controlled crawling, then when shifting into second gear it has tons of power for great jumping out of a crawler.

After two days of testing with the completely stock Axial axles I only broke two knuckles and one three link mount. Not bad at all for all the abuse from several bad landings not shown in the vid.

For more info on the truck here is my build thread.

And here is the video. http://youtube.com/watch?v=fJS4c36tcjs

ZOMG that thing is fast as hell! How does it crawl at low speeds? Is it controllable?

Cool, I'm planning on making a camera tuber (specifically built to carry a camera). That looks like the right motor for it.

I added the slower crawling pieces of video so you can see how slow it will crawl. It is very controllable at slow speeds, that is until you remember you've got all this power at your finger tips and you punch it.

Yeah the rear ones especially. One of these days I want to install longer shocks with more travel in the rear.

Obviously I don't plan on running this rig like that all the time. I wanted to do some flight tests and got a little carried away.
