| Scaler GTG-Malibu, CA 3.9.08
first of two. I'll post the second in this thread when it comes online. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AENrb2_klcY I had to split it to fit Youtube's length rules... Bunch of us scalers got together for some bashing in the Malibu Canyons... |

Think the brat is a TA02 His biggest problems were he had massive wheelspeed and very little ground clearance. |

Damn, that almost wants to make me scrap my Axial build and go scale!!!!! That looks like so much fun - I am jealous. You all seemed to have a great time.

We're having a blast and what we're discovering is the following: -scale rigs arent as competent performers in terms of sheer crawling, but that makes you drive better to get a good result. Line selection, tire placement, judgement all are more important with the 1.9 scalers and makes it more challenging and more rewarding in our opinion. -scalers look cool. -any rig will have a good time at the locations we use, but the 1.9 scalers are challenged by more of the terrain. I was amazed at how much fun a bunch of guys (and a girl) can have driving little trucks around. One key thing everyone enjoyed was the group aspect of the driving. It was seriously good fun. Do it! Check out our latest videos from Vasquez Rocks, where we intend to have another scaler gtg on the 30th of this month. Turnout is looking like it will be significantly more rigs this time too. | |
