Default Scale Recon of Vasquez Rocks

Here is my first R/C rock crawling video. We went to check out Vasquez Rocks to see if it would be good for future Scale crawling and maybe even a gtg or comp.

First time editing so cut me some slack and enjoy.

(if you can't tell after watching the video the answer is HELL YES)

We made very sure to talk to the people right away, since one of the main reasons I went there was to see if it might be a place we can do a comp.

When we first arrived one of the ladies who worked tho told us we could not drive them on the rocks because its a natural area. She did not know what she was talking about. She was very afraid of us spooking horses also. She told me that the woman in charge would be there soon and drove a blue Charger. When Sandy (the woman in charge) showed up she walked us around and we talked at length. She said they had another group who used to go and drive the RC crawlers over by their camping area and let us park back there. She seemed fine with it as long as we avoided the areas where the horse trails were. Honestly we stayed between the entry parking, and the overnight camping area and every rock had potential with tons of them around.

I asked her about weekends and possibility of larger groups and she said they get busy on the weekends with groups camping there. So I am making the assumption Pablo wants to go in which case will try to talk to them some more. Because if we had to "camp there" in order to get access for a comp I think it would be worth it especially if it doesnt cost much and then to them if we help make sure the place is not trashed then it pays off. I saw no litter or broken bottles. There were porta pots right there and a drinking fountain. Its also right near Agua Dolce and civilization if people need anything with three hobby shops down in Santa Clarita.

We got asked a couple times by others if it was ok for us to be where we were and sleek and I stopped once because we were afraid a horse might have been wigging out about us that was 50ft away. But we just said Sandy said it was ok and they left us alone.

Would love to have 6 more trucks in the video but the more trucks the harder it gets to cut the footage also since you see the same shot with each truck

thats the trick-dont use every truck to show the technical trail. Have a shot or two showing the whole group then mix and match...
