Awsome video and I love the courier way cool truck.I think I like the truck better without the light bar on the top.

cman_1500w 07-27-2005 08:25 AM

It was great when it got stuck in the mud and you kept backing up until it finally made it! Awesome Video! That Courier rocks! :-D

RCALLOYS 07-27-2005 08:46 AM

Yet another super video from Gerrish! I sat here for 10 minutes on the edge of my chair watching that little Courier. Always like your videos because they have music BUT you can still here the truck. Your music is always cool and laid back too, makes for a peaceful viewing experience ;-) Now.........once you get the little Courier cleaned up just box him up and send him my way. I shall take very good care of him for you. In exchange I'll send ya a brand new TLT that I can't get excited about building into something. LOL

Sweet Video!

AdamF 07-27-2005 09:14 AM

wow, I think that was one of the BEST R/C videos I've seen! I think I'm going to sell my Pajero and get a TLT!

FrankyRizzo 07-27-2005 10:52 AM

That was very cool. It looked like I was really watching a real truck drive over and through real terrain. Good choice of location.

OldShovelhead 07-27-2005 11:01 AM

WOW! That is absolutely a Hall Of Fame quality video! Your server is maxxed out right now too! You should make a DVD of your vids and publish it! Tell you what - send the finished product to me, I'll foot the bill for copying and distribution for 5% of the gross!!!

ILoveRCRockCrawlin 07-27-2005 11:17 AM

yea the camera angles were perfect. i loved the video.

TwistedCreations 07-27-2005 12:06 PM

good vid ryan.. how did you keep the camera so low on the shots? have it on another RC?

creampuff 07-27-2005 12:58 PM

awsome truck. that mud you found lokked pretty nasty, jus like or norcal mud
sweet video, again.

rbgerrish 07-27-2005 01:14 PM

thanks people!

It was tough to drive and film at the same time, but the truck has steering and throttle on the same stick, so that helped!

I wasnt expecting mud at that point, and I was suprised when it started to turn into a bog. :) Made for some neat video!

Camera angle is, in my opinion, one of the key things in making a cool RC video. I want the footage to actually show details of the truck, as well as how steep/tall/deep and obstacle is. Standing 5 feet above a tiny truck would be like filming UROC from a helicopter! You cant tell what the truck is doing. I try to replicate the same angle a human would be at filming a real trail rig. (Most of the time, anyhow!)

Thanks!

its a TLT. ;-)

rbgerrish 07-27-2005 04:29 PM

Thanks!

The backwards tire is because I wanted to use that wheel, and the tire was already glued on it!

For those who havent seen, the truck is a custom TLT rig. Stampede tranny, steel framerails..etc.. I'd post pics or links to the buildup, but ORCRC is down till Aug 1st. :)

Great video. Very enjoyable to watch. So did the mud help out with extra traction? JK Anyway you have and awesome looking scale TLT. Excellent job.
