Default Bruiser's first outting

Had a scale comp yesterday so threw the bruiser bed on my bruiser truggy project to be legal since the tube bed hasn't been started yet. I was pretty impressed with it's performance. Took 2nd in 1.9 scale.

Hopefully it'll have some shocks on it soon to keep the hop to a minimum

With the leaf springs - Do they have a hole in the middle of the leaf?

Arent they supposed to have an offset hole to prevent the bounce. If both sides of the leaf are equal length then they vibrate at the same frequency, If it is offset (one end shorter, one longer) then the leaf itself acts like a dampener.

I have gone off on a tangent but hopefully you can clarify for me?

The leafs do have a hole in the middle of them for positioning them on the axle.

I can't elaborate on the why there was bounce but I don't think it would matter where the center of the leaf is. (to a certain extent) If there is nothing to dampen the rebound on the spring it's going to bounce. That's why if you see a truck drive down the road that has bad shocks the truck will bounce up and down because the shocks aren't damping them.

Looks pretty good, hard to believe an almost antique Bruiser still is out there performing!!

Looks like the RC4WD tires perform well on the smooth rock also.

I was just replying to the guy asking about the wheel hop and how he thought the hop came from the hole being centered in the spring and not offset. I wasn't gunning at you
