How about adding more mufflers to kill some of the noise??

I made one for my TMaxx a long time ago out of a metal fuel filter from a Chevy truck with a carb. It really quieted it down when added to the output of the stock pipe.

That rig works really well littleskull, you did a great job. I'm impressed with it's capabilities. I hope it never catches on though cuz that noise is horrible.

Like others have said, that's NICE for a nitro crawler. Awesome to say the least. A 4 stroke version would be pretty nice. What size engine are you using?

The engine is a 1cc Toki from an NB16.

I have looked into fourstrokes but I cannot find one small enough and the gearboxes are geared for a small engine with high revs.

Thanks for watching guys.

Matt

This one no good?

The problem with an airplane engine is that the carb is not designed to be very proportional, they like revving flat out all the time which is great for planes but not for a crawler. Also the engine is too tall to fit between the side rails. Without a whole redesign of the truck, I wouldnt be able to get it to work with this setup. I am going to stick with the engine I have.

Thanks for taking the time to suggest an idea though, I appreciate the help.

cool, always wondered about a Nitro crawler myself. Although the vid was pretty impressive, theres still something missing from that compared to an electric crawler.

There is alot missing from it like reverse!, low speed control and its heavy but it was never designed to be a comp crawler.

I would like to make another with a bigger engine and wk axles. I think I could make it a little more competetive and lower cg but finding a shell might be difficult.

I must admit, I do find driving it as much fun if not more than my other crawlers because its different and some said it couldnt be done.

Its not really a build thread because I built it first then showed it and the pics arent great.

That works good, i gave up on my nitro crawler and went electric. Good to see people are getting them to work good.
