Nice one Matt, looks brilliant, certainly a very capable machine"thumbsup"

hitman46mod 01-12-2009 06:46 AM

Good to see it's still coming along nicely."thumbsup"

Its getting there slowly but surley. Moved the rear upper links down at chassis to stop the rear collapsing when up at an angle. Added some weight to the wheels all round. Changed the glow plug for a hotter one. All seems to have made it more predictable and more capable.

I am enjoying driving this thing because it has no reverse, It means I study the route more before I start. That should help me out in comps too. I drove the comp truck afterwards and almost forgot I had reverse.

Thanks for the comments.

tomer 01-12-2009 10:33 PM

that rig gets better and better. it is awsome.

Inclodneato 01-13-2009 06:16 PM

doesnt it heat up alot or no?

littleskull99 01-14-2009 02:32 AM

There is a fan that is directly blowing onto the head of the engine. I can hold the engine after 10 or so minutes running and not burn myself (sorry no temp gauge) If anything, It doesnt get hot enough.

dezfan 01-14-2009 09:17 PM

I guess that's pretty good for a nitro."thumbsup"

The noise is still annoying as hell.:ror:

redrustbucket 01-16-2009 12:34 AM

That worked a lot better then I thought it would. Nice work.

cruz*hotboxrc 01-16-2009 12:09 PM

your getting the rocks full of oil:lol:

Duuuuuuuude 01-17-2009 01:55 PM

Thats pretty cool! Looks pretty capable as well.

I wonder how well a 4-stroke would work? A bit more torque and a less annoying sound...

Harley 01-17-2009 02:26 PM

As far as a nitro crawler goes that is as good as I have seen. Probably fun to play with but I would go insane with the noise.

jhtoy 01-18-2009 06:02 AM

And they said it couldn't be done..........pretty cool man.

rcclodhead 01-18-2009 02:14 PM

Vary kool

The noise is still annoying as hell.

littleskull99 01-19-2009 04:12 AM

The noise is bearable but after 10 minutes I have to turn it off and chill out with the electric for a while.
I have looked into fourstrokes but I cannot find one small enough and the gearboxes are geared for a small engine with high revs.

Thanks for watching guys.

Very impressed, I always thought someone could come up with a working nitro crawler. Good Job!
