Default The Duke at Skeeter Ditch

Well, here is a new video. I hope yall like it. This is some footage from the origional Duke at a drainage ditch Ace and I call Skeeter Ditch.
Sorry its a big down load, I am dialup myself so I know about the long download times. I could not get myself to shorten it after I made it but I think it will be worth it.
Still having trouble getting good quality though , this was shot with my 8mm digital camcorder but the conversion to WMV format messes it up.

Please right click, save as and thanks to Jason for hosting it.

Thanks CrawlinforLife, glad you liked it.
I think the right music makes a video better to watch and I love that Ministry song. I first heard it in my Crusty Demons of Dirt video and have been hooked on it ever since.

Ah yes, Crusty. I have almost all of them. I used to take them into school and we would watch them on Fridays in my small engine class.

Sweeet, a fellow Crusty fan. I have everything from Crusty 2000: The Metal Millenium on, but I have seen all of them. Never got to watch them in school though :( that is too cool. My lawnmower engine didnt run very well after I got done , did yours?

Thanks Badger, I really was happy with how it werked and looked back then. I'm gonna either redo it like it was or do another rig.

CFL, wheel all day long Nice job to have.

Great video. I really like your truck as well. The shell and roll cage look superb.

It has a nice 'scale' look to it with the battery and chassis enclosed within the body lines it looks very good. I personally don't like the big triangular plates that dominate the sides of so many crawlers. I'd rather suffer a little less crawling ability to have that realism feel to the truck. Yours manages to get the best of both worlds!

I notice you run you lower 4 link arms high on the axle to achieve better clearance, I did the same on my 'thunderfoot', it allows you to run the upper mountings on the chassis much higher up than normal while keeping a relatively flat angle on the arms. I haven't suffered too may problems with this either and your trucks performance would suggest it too works well.

Cheers,

Ian

Thanks Ian, I appreciate the compliments. The main focus of The Duke back then was to look as "realistic" as possible while still werking pretty good. Unfortunately the competitions have forced that to change, but I still have the chassis.
Yes, the short drop in the chassis forced me to mount my links high on the axle so I build my own and they werk great.

Thanks again.
