Default incline test

boredom struck so i made up a board to incline test some of my rigs. waiting on a radio for the comp rig and an axle for the MRC samurai so i didn't get to test them

first up is the newly built SCX10.... 60 degree slope

next is the CC01.... 48 degree slope

lastly is the CJ5.... 45 degree slope

I guess when axial decided to build the scx, they wanted to have something to show for it. i imagine suspension had a god portion to do with it. the frame from what i have seen is very well built and didn't allow much flex.

well i put the receiver back in the SCX to see if i could squeeze a few more degrees in. nope. 65 degrees is actually quite a bit steeper than 60.

once the rear tires hit the board it flopped over on its lid.

not sure how the electronics are supposed to be placed in stock form but everything on mine is in the front. and the suspension probably did help in this case. its still a little stiffer than ide like for crawling

I use the same basic setup and use sandpaper on the bord to make sure there is plenty of grip for the tyres, and then on the upper 1/4 of the bord i have put some 1/4 inch sticks across the bord to make sure the car can do a bit more while driving on a incline.

ok just got off the phone with Losi's service department. ive been waiting on a replacement CVD for 1 month now. turns out they've been on back order and are expected to ship in the next couple days. so i decided to put a stock axle in to give the samurai a shot on the ramp.

57 degrees

Figured this would be a good place to put this instead of making a new thread. Let's revive it with your test videos also!

Need to get some sand paper or something, tires give before any inclination of tipping.
