| Creeper Comp Practice
Tuesday night Comp practice with the Venom Creeper. I had a nice sweet line on the slanted slab and then just barely gated when I was laid over on the side, but still a sweet grab to pull out of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CXTZOn2nf0 |

Ouch, 5 gates in the video! A new chassis would help you out a lot! And a taller tire! You def need some clearance if that is the course you run all the time! Did you ever clear the rope bridge?

Nah, there was 10 gates altogether, the camera batteries died at the rope bridge. I already have the tallest tire on there the HB Rovers at 5.5 w/ Nova Arks foams. Yea the front skid definately hangs up which has been my only issue with the Creeper. I'm looking into getting the F4 Chassis for it. Yep still running the 2piece skid might be ordering skid before chassis to try out. We've also been running with the gates a little closer together and changing up the course each week to make it harder. The last couple weeks I've been doing good and since moving gates closer and making it more of a challange, have been hitting gates. Time to go back to the normal 14" apart gates so when I do get comping I'm used to that. Thats why it's practice, cause that's the one thing you can not buy online or at the shop. Nope didn't make the rope bridge cause of the tranny & chassis. I think it i had 1/4" to a 3/8" of extra clearance would be doing better. Last edited by snwchris; 12-19-2009 at 08:08 AM. |

Looks like you need more weight, and less driving in the dust. Also you need to shave your axles.

Try turning your lower links over. If you look at the creeper from the side it makes the center really long and low. I seldom get hung up after turning mine now.

The F4 chassis is by underground crawlers I believe. I'm gonna try the 1pc skid first since it's cheaper and see how that goes first especially with the up coming point series a few of us are going to set-up. Yea the dust is hard to avoid unless we remove all the rocks and spray them off. Plus makes things interesting. For the links did you just spin them over or actually remove and rotate ends???? |
