Is that a 7 cell? I still think a 3cell Lipo is the way to go.

Looks like fun, how the motor, esc, and such handle the sand?

Everything survived and is still in working order. You just have to make sure you take some compressed air to it afterwards. I would also recommend making sure there are screws in the holes on top of the axles, prevents sand getting into the gears and stuff. Nice thing about Glamis sand is it doesn't tend to stick very much, brushes off pretty easily.

Nice Vid. It looks like a blast. Makes me want to break out my old Tamiya Frog with the sand paddles and go play.

Nice video indeed

It would take about 0.5 second to lure me into a 1:1 formula offroad car

i guess the scaled down FO cars dont do the same inclines as the real deal, maybe loose dirt offer more grip for the paddles on a rc car ?

Damm temptind tho, cuz sand and dirt we have in huge amounts here in Denmark. ( offcourse not glamis style )

We ran this thing in some thicker beach sand, with much steeper inclines and it still got plenty of grip :
The Rooster teaser vid! 4x4 with paddles!

When we were running it at Fiesta, we weren't thinking formula offroad, more like, lets put some paddles on a crawler, throw in a vxl, and see what happens After seeing some of the other formula offroad vids pop up, makes me want to start up a new club in San Diego

cool I just asked cuz i never really notised real formula offroad like inclines/driving in any of the rc videos i have seen, but no matter what a potent brusless setup - paddles and a 4x4 should make good entertainment.

I think my frind have a set of just about every RC paddletyre ever made, and its been good fun on "flat" ground with his rustler - e-maxxes - jato- 5t - 5b and what ever he have tried paddles on.

Crawlers is next i guess ( will see if i can get my m8 to transplant his VXL gear to his creeper and see what happen )

I recon i better get a set too and some kind of vehicle to keep it all together.
