| Losi 2.0 spring test
First run trying the yellow 2.0 springs on the Losi Comp Crawler. I sounds like a backwards approach, everybody seems to be going with the gold or gray springs, but it never hurts to experiment and it worked pretty well. Much less body roll on side hills(not shown in the video), but Im gonna keep adjusting till I get it right. I do know that this set up works better that the 1.8 white springs so far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qinBkwXDH6Q Last edited by 75fan; 03-28-2010 at 09:47 PM. |

I'm a noob. I noticed your front wheels have 4 bullets each while the rear ones none of them. Is this intended for weight reasons ? Speaking about springs, shouldn't be the opposite ? I mean softer springs shouldn't be better on a crawler ? Plz bear in mind I'm deeply inside the " noobness " tunnel |

You are correct. The "bullets" that you see are the Vanquish weights for the front wheels, and keeping the rear light as possible is what has been working so far. To answer your lighter spring question, that is also correct. I wanted to try the stiffer springs to see if I would get less body roll on side hills and also to keep the rear from squating on steep inclines. I have moved the rear link to the middle hole to give it more of the "anti-squat" set up.

I am trying to figure out what springs to change to, the stock seem too soft. Do you like the yellow? They are stiffer?? What weight shock oil did you use? Nice Video! Ryan |

I am using 50wt oil front and rear. The 2.0 springs are stiffer and I like how it works on the side hills, and how its squats less on the steep vertical climbs. Thanks, 75fan |

Thanks for the compliment. It is getting better and better, I just need to learn how to drive now. This is a new hobby my son got me hooked on several months ago, and I must say it is addicting. I have a few more videos posted on you tube if you want to check them out too.
