major94 01-23-2011 07:04 PM

Hows that, I put a tail on it.

squatch71 01-23-2011 07:33 PM

cool place..question, don't know the rules with MOA's, but if you dig your front, then reverse with the rear to "walk" left or right, does that count as a reverse??? or do you actually have to move backward??

Can you please explain why that body is not legal. Reason for asking is that I have just built a Bully and was thinking of a body like the one shown.

Cheers,

Fred:oops:

cool video, thaks for sharing, I enjoy seeing peoples comp runs.

I to would like to know why that body is not legal... is it because the hood doesn't extend far enough over the front axle?

major94 01-24-2011 10:05 PM

It is a half inch too short from the factory. I cut a piece of plastic and made it long enough, but It must have fallen off. so that is why it is ileagal.

They have to be a minimum of 12.5" long:

o 2.1.6 - Bodied vehicles must be 3” minimum height on sides. No less than 12.5”
total length and full original width, and no less than 5” in center.

Anytime any of the the tires rotate backward, whether intentionally or unintentionally, that is a reverse. "thumbsup"

not always. i recall a certain question saying that if a driver is high centered and reverses then forwards and reverses again in an attempt to rock the vehicle than its only 1 reverse call since he had not made forward progress. may be wrong

"thumbsup"

▪ 7.1.5.2 - Example: When high-centered, Reverse, forward, and then reverse again to rock the truck back and
forth will only result in one reverse penalty until forward progress is made.

Dani

You are correct in that instance. I guess my statement should have been clarified by saying "anytime any of the tires are in contact with the ground and any one of them rotates backward...." "thumbsup"

squatch71 01-25-2011 06:20 PM

OK, so say the tire rotates backwards, but the car progresses forwards and either left or right...I don't want this to be a thread killer, and the reason I ask is during the video the front is locked and he reverses (his tires rotates backwards) and the ass end of his car goes right...I thought, is that a reverse?? he didn't go backwards...

just wondering...thanks for the clarifications.

the time on the vid I was thinking was 2:02...just after he says "progress" but it seems like he spins his front tires backwards and no reverse was called.....

JeremyH 01-25-2011 07:16 PM

I just watched the video again and he calls that a reverse....it's quiet, but you can hear it...

major94 01-25-2011 08:56 PM

Ya, I got stuck on that rock. So I front dig reverse and nothing happened. So I 4wd reversed and it is only 1 reverse because I never went forward. It is all in the same reverse.

squatch71 01-25-2011 10:52 PM

ok, I turned up the speakers to 11 and did hear it...

thanks for the time...

btw, very cool rig and vid.
