You'll never have to worry bout your motor they are naturally waterproof they require 0 preperation. Its the servos esc batt. and reciever you have to worry about. If you go in mud be sure to clean the hell out of your motor esp the brushes and brush housings as they tend to get grime in there and make your brushes stick open and make you think your motor is gone.

hehe i know i had the same problem 3 weeks ago after some light mudding, but back then i only inspected and cleaned the brushes and ther housing.

I will do a proper overhauling and if needed my m8 have a hurdy lathe.

Must admit i have been looking at sub 1000 KV brushless motors, but i think i will save that gear and mony for a model thats intended to go a lot faster ( formula offroad )

My reciver is inside a couple of baloons as i dident feel the need to dip it in the plastic goo.
