Default water proofing test

so did some testing on my waterproofing have 2 servos batt reciever and esc

I still need to test the waterproofing of my HH ESC and my hitec 7955. but i await higher temperatures in the water. ( we still have about -5 deg C every night )

The mittle of the pacific look mighty fine.

My first ax-10 was waterproofed. Then i burnt out the battery and it melted everywhere..

Whatever you did appears to work really well What exactly did you do to make it so watertight?? .. AWESOME job, and I really dig your rig.

no disrespect...but these rigs do make us giggle like a little girl once and a while!!!!

nice rig, test, and place to run....we have snow right now, so no water for us......

here are some pics of how i did it


the servos,batt,connections and esc are done in the exact same fashion.. nice thick coat of either A plasti-dip, or B liquid tape

servos got the plasti dip
and remaining electronics and connections got the liquid tape treatment
hope this helps

Did you put the cover back on the reciever after you plasti-dipped the reciever? Also wouldn't the water effect the prongs there as well?

No cover necessary after you plug ur servos n such in apply more liquid tape to protect those as well hope this helps

I need to water proof mine. Been taking it through a little bit of water, pro only a matter of time before something gets wet and breaks. Nice place to crawl. Wish I could find a place like that in FL.

Ok thanks man. So Plati-Dip the whole reciever the plug all of the connectors in and then Plasti-Dip it agian? Does the reciever case fit back in the case fine without any problems?

i made it from styrene... super easy floor 2 walls backplate and short front plate it really was the easiest thing ive ever made
