| Hi guys. I've just registered here. Looks like a healthy little corner of the web. Those of you who frequent the outerlimits forum will already know about these but for those that don't... here are some new MudCow vids that I made up a couple of weeks ago. Vote for the one you like best! Cheers, JK ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A short vid of Adman's Rock Head in action at the ARRC Round 5 2003 which was held at Oxford Falls. Rock Head was driven by G_maxx off the board here. There is a little bit of MudCow footage at the end: ARRC Round 5 2003 2.5Mb fourwheelin and I took the trucks with us when we went down to Appin for a drive with Shorty40 and hophoar off the board. We had a little play when we stopped for a break from driving the 1:1 trucks: Appin 2.3Mb A short vid of the MudCow playing on a nice "pebble" garden in one of our local reserves: Pebbles 2.3Mb I always take the Mudcow with us when we go on holidays... and here is an example of what I get up to when family visits get a little boing (sorry Grandma Grandma's Wall 2.6Mb A video taken on the first ever ARRC get together way back on 22 Jan 03! The trucks certainly have changed since these days! You can see the infamous "shaftie wave" and how the different trucks perform on the same terrain. This get together was what made russell and Adman go out and buy Clods he he... MTPA and MudCow first get together 10.5Mb |

| Your truck is awesome! ;) You seem to have a really well desgined suspension, no hop or anything, just sticks. Whats the link to your build up again? How much do you have into it too? Maybe you should do a writeup here ;) Get some juices flowing on the board... its still new enough to be pretttttty slow.. |

| Well I don't know about the Rock God but yep I'm here LOL. Thanks for the welcome. About playing the videos, make sure you have the latest update of MS media player with all the latest codecs. Download the vids to your hard drive and play from there. Let me know if you have any probs. Yep the old 'cow just goes show that you don't have to spend mega bucks to have a capable truck. All my write-ups are at www.mudcow.com. It hasn't been updated for a while but I am currently working on new content as I find time. Sorry, please explain what you mean by "how much do you have into it?" Do you mean how much does it owe me? |

| Yea stop being modest, that truck is the whole reason I have started crawling. I finally was able to view your videos (had to restart my computer) and the wall is killer, how do you keep the front so balanced when it goes airborn like that. Can I have first dibs at your truck when you get tired of it? LOL :P |

About the wall. Well, it was a combination of a balanced truck, just the right wheelbase and careful driving. And nope... I aint even starting to get tired of the old 'cow :P

| Thanks Grizzly. The technology behind the videos is very basic really. I only use my Sony Cybershot digi camera either hand held or on a mini tripod. I edit the vids using MS movie maker 2 which comes free with Windows XP Home Edition. Really there is absolutely no reason why more guys can't be making quality clips of their trucks in action. I would estimate that it took me about 3-4hrs to edit these 5 vids together. So come on guys, let's see your trucks in action! |

In typical Hong Kong style (where I lived for 5 years) the steps are all over the place which is what made them so much fun to drive on. They ranged from about 8" down to 3" rise and 6" to 12" run. Not much fun to walk up in the dark. The stairs at the bottom are the biggest and some of them were extra nasty cos the rise was undercut by an unch or so. They are also really smooth concrete.

| I probably watched "The Distance" a couple of dozen times, and I never noticed the different sizes of them I found some hand-cut granite steps that are about 50 years old, and they are all over the place to. I think its the perfect place to film "RocPhish goes The Distance" P.S. How tall is Grandma's wall |

| Grandmas wall... hmmm, well judging by the wheelbase which is 15.5" I'd say the highest part of the wall (LHS wheel) would be about 15". |

| I am confused 8O ...............your webpage says 12.8 inchs. Not trying to be picky, but I testing my crawler against things I know are possible since you already have done them By the way is wheel base measured from outside edge to outside edge,or center to center |

http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Mo...ic.php?t=15214 Doesn't really matter where you measure from as long as you are consistent. I often measure between the swivel hub king pins with the suspension compressed so that the links are close to horizontal.
