custom front axle diconnect
custom chassis for a 10.5 wb
proline 50s chevy body
dynamite 7.2v 5100mah bat (my runtime is insane!)

That trans doesn't have a lock function, the worm gear axles did that.

You would get front and rear freewheel.

But don't you want the trans not to lock so the axle you disconnect can freewheel like a real truck??

Not if you're referring to DIG.

I just read this again, and I think that is what concretejungle is talking about...the Losi transmission does in fact have front and rear disconnect (worms give it dig) and that's why he put "disconnect" in parentheses after the word dig.

I think I explained that right.

The problem with the Losi transmission is the gear reduction....it would probably spin too fast for the ring and pinion axles being used.
