I only ask because I recently had someone weigh their boss claws with shaved sidewalls and pattern cut to find out that they weighed 84g. I then spent a little time working on a set of narrowed Khaos tires and easily got them to 90g. They didn't have the pattern cut yet and I hadn't done a little more work that I've been working on recently. They could easily weigh the same as the Boss Claws and still provide better rubber compounds and MUCH better beads...and of course the additional height.

My Khaos tires are sanded on the inside only. I bet shaving the outside would drop a few grams, but I'm not that worried about it. My main reason for getting the Boss Claws was their size.

So you were looking for ways to get hung up more

Just screwing around...but when you were running your taller tires did you still run your shocks mounted in the bottom row on the front and the second hole from the back (I think that's where you've got them now)

I like all black rigs too, but they just don't make good videos or pictures like bright colors. The red looks KILLER with the black chassis and white lettering. I want to do a paint job like that with white wheels like the 70's Jeeps.

What foam are you using in the Claws? They look a little firm.

just watch my first course if you want to see tires suck from getting a little muddy. i was quite frustrated.

5.25" Double Duece Soft outers w/soft outer tuning ring & 1" closed cell inners

rear:
5.25" Double Duece Medium outers & 1" closed cell inners

They don't feel firm to me, but this is a setup that I run in most of my tires. I'm used to it.
