| make waterproof tires for 97 cents
Here is my latest trick to making my excursion truck or any RC more versatile in water... I used to run standard foam inserts in my tires then they would always get damaged after a little water play... so when I got the new double tires i removed the inserts so i can go in water without any issues. with time the side walls got soft and I started to loose traction... well I was given great ideas by my local hobby shop about using BBs plastic or metal but I was worried I would start flinging them on faster runs so while driving home and passing a plumbers truck I saw my answer.... this video shows you how i am using pipe insulator for tire inserts. since they are water proof and hollowed this seems to be a great resolution to my "water-runs" problem. I hope this helps you please let me know your thoughts... Video Link: MAKE YOUR TIRES WATERPROOF FOR 97 CENTS - YouTube |

Just wanted to play in the water and try how we'll my new tire inserts are working... So far works well but I need to go with a slow start so tires fill with water other wise in deep water it flips over and floats upside down... Great idea. Looks like it works well and looks like tons of fun to drive that beast in the water!

reminds me of my night crawler i had waterproofed, turned my cousins loose with it an watched em drive through a mudhole deep enough ya couldnt see it for a couple seconds till it came up on the other side. stock tires were glued with no vent holes so the foams stayed dry. need to do somethin with my wraith though. they fill with water every time.
