Default Boston Crawlers - King of the Coast 2013

Some onboard footage of our King of the Coast rock race. This year it was over .5 miles long at Halibut Point in Rockport Ma.

Awesome day! Always a good time at that location, great idea to have the hammers race there!

Awesome! How many battery changes on those comp rigs?

We had a comp like that one time, but not nearly that long of a distance.

Like IB said, big comp there please!

Hey Rowdy,

It was a ton of fun. I ran my 500mah pack and I almost made the whole race. I changed about 50 yards from the finish line.

That place would be fun to host a large event at but logistically it is a PITA. Long walk from parking, no hotels nearby, and a hell of a drive for anyone from the south. It takes RICrawler almost 3 hours from Rhode Island.

Google Beaver Tail Lighthouse. We are looking into doing something there.

If we can pull off a larger Comp I think it would be fun to do a hammers race at the end.

9-10 hours from me, thats how long it takes to get to LRC and we have been there several times.

The Beaver Tail location is only a hour closer.

The Boston guys have some amazing locations up in the NE. I would most certainly make that trip to crawl some of these locations!!

RICrawler and I are working with JSlick to see if we can put something together. We need to make sure we pick a time that people want to come out for and also ensure that the Success of NENQ is not put at risk by having two large events in the same time frame. I would much rather see one Successful Regional then two that are both flops.

I have been working with the Battle Ground boys to get dates squared away so there is a good amount of time between it and the Northeast National Qualifier at Rausch Creek. When I get confirmation from the Offroad Park we can move forward and get things set.

Any camping places close to that site??

Awesome spot. I was there a couple years ago (back when I lived in CT and Rockport was a tad closer than it is from where I live now)and wished I brought my rig with me

Hey Jslick,

I started a new thread to discuss stuff. Would love to talk more about it but can't imagine admins are a fan of it happening in the videos board

Anyone who wants to talk more about it click here

860crawler maybe we can get you back up here
