You can drive on creeks and stuff, most of it will be fine.... Just waterproof your reciever, servo and make sure that ESC is outta the way!!! Also try to splash guard it a bit. But going underwater... thats fuggin nuts!

Thanks folks,

Just wrap your receiver in a ballon or something, use an Mtroniks ESC, and have fun. I dont understand why people wonder why we drive in the water? It's fun, just like full-size four wheeling through deep mud or fording streams. I like to see what my truck can do, and I dont want it to have any limitations. If I'm running a trial course and there's a muddy pit in the way, I dont want to say 'sorry guys my rig cant get wet.'

It's an off-roader, that means all terrain.
I guess the CLod guys are just sissy having their motors all down low...
;)

Well, Any motor can go under, but the simple fact it that mud and crap get's in the motors, and then they stop turning. Running a shaft driven truck, you have much more room before the motors go under...

8O Nothing shorts? And you do no prep to keep them dry? I am new to electric r/c, but I didn't know I was that new. Does submerging them reduce longevity? And what about brushless?
