Wow, Steve. That thing crawls like an MoA rig, yet I believe I saw drive shafts under there. Is that an AX-10?

Thanks guys, yes it is an ax10. The chassis is Hulksta new creation which runs a new CF gearbox with xr10 gears in it.

I don't know why your videos don't get more views. I think they are the best crawling videos on YouTube. The camera work is good and the crawling is unbelievable. I've seen you do things with MoAs that just blew my mind. And your SCX-10s changed my perception of what can be accomplished with scale rigs.

So let me ask you, what would you recommend as the best shafty platform to go with for pure crawling? SCX-10, AX-10, ...?

Axial scx-ax10 are for sure the go, but the question u r after a the best shafty platform to go with for pure crawling. What sort of class car are u talking about scale-2 type rig or a sportsman type rig?

What exactly is a sportsman rig? I'm not looking to meet any class requirements since there really are not any comps around here. What I am looking for is a super aggressive shafty crawler.

You have to workout what type of car u want a Scale2 run chassis rails and a 4x4 body and restricted to 1.9 tires https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfqOQrxpKUI, or a sporty which very close to a pro rig but must be shaft driven which is what the joker is. Here is a link to my build threads scale2 Crawl ANZ - View topic - LUXENBERG'S SCX10 this one is a bit outdated

I definitely want to go the sportsman route. Although, after watching the Pig and the F-Bomb in action, I have a much more open mind when it comes to the capabilities of scale rigs. Of course, much of that has to do with your skills as a driver.

I'm totally hijacking your thread and, for that, I apologize. I have just one more question. Should I go with Wraith axles (like the Ridgecrest uses) or with the old AX-10/SCX-10 axles from the Scorpion (like yours?) Is there a specific reason why you are using the 1st-get AX-10 axles?

If u have wraith diffs already no problems with running them. I use the scx10 diffs and have done the xr10 steering mod , that way u get the good steering throw strong cvd's and diff with is not as wide as the wraith. Makes it a lot easier to get through the 16'' gates.

Steve, I can't get the links to your build threads to work. Do you have newer links?
