| Adjustable dvr mount...Bully2 axles
I just posted this in my build thread but figured others might get use out of the idea as well... I had mounted a keyfob dvr to my rear axle to get some "down the side" action shots of the axles and tires at work...Great idea but I had a couple of hesitations on the original design of just a post sticking up off of the axle tube...Hence; My concerns about the rigid axle mounted dvr were 2 fold...one was the limit of the mount itself for height and angle adjustability...the other was the possibility of a roll over or wreck snapping off the mount, bending my axle or breaking the mounting stud off in the axle itself...any of which is not a good thing. I had some aluminum pieces from my original GX2 articulation set up and a Tamiya link/shock mount, hardware and a fare bit of camera rig experience. In the end...a much better mount with limitless adjustability. The only other piece I needed was a stock Bully2 link mount screwed to the rear axle at the outer most holes. I can set it high or low in height or at any angle I want to capture different things going on. I cant wait to see the video this set up produces.... |
