Tamiya Blackfoot first run...
 
Scored a super clean vintage Tamiya Blackfoot, had to try it in the dirt where it belongs !!! No shelf queen here but a good old Monster Truck !!!

That's cool! Back in the 80's, can't remember what year but a friend of mine bought a blackfoot and I got the midnight pumpkin...good times! But the blackfoot was a great handling truck compared to the pumpkin. Stupid mechanical speed control...replaced that quick with an esc. I wish there were lipo's back then.

Yeah you can say that again !!! The old mechanical speed controls were real pains in the butt !! With today's electronics you can have loads of fun with these old bessies :)

Nice Blackfoot! I used to race mine against RC10Ts back in the day and it would hold it's own (no room for mistakes though). Thorpe diff and dogbones were the best upgrades.

Yeah, bacj in the day you could build a bullet proof gearbox for about 50.00$
Since Thorp doesn't do RC parts anymore ( do they still exist ?? ) a Thorp conversion costs 140$ nowadays... if not more.

Cool video, good score on the BF too. I had a lot of fun with the BF back in the day, raced mine too in the MT class. :mrgreen:
