Default Staithes - UK mini GTG.

Met up with Tronk and Moondust1950 for a few hours.

The resultant quickly edited footage.

Bit of a long one at nearly 14 minutes

Enjoy

Hey that was nice Ian.

How come you only showed me getting stuck and falling of things?

I wish people could see the large gaps between the rocks. We where debating on bribing small kids with bags of chips from the chippy to be lowered head first through the gaps to retrieve the trucks.

Myself and Wallaz could not get them out for two reasons. His belly and my arse.

Yes it was that truck that went to Spain.

I got in on a really good deal. My win, your loss Syco, I am afraid.

The truck has been performing well. I have had a few problems with glitching just lately. It got real bad at the Staithes meet and the truck would not do anything for a while. Prior to thisi t was going over the rocks fantastic. I believe I traced the glitching too a broken antenna wire. I have replaced this with new radio gear and this is a Futaba 4EX and no longer the TQ3. I also altered the position of the ESC and receiver slightly. They are in the same place as before, but in a slightly different position. The antenna wire now runs to the rear body post away from the ESC etc. I will try it out over the next couple of days and see what happens.

Prior to this glitching I have been so happy with what this truck can climb. It has gone over nearly everything that I have driven it over. We also have a stick chassis and a TXT 1. It will be nice to see how they all do.

As a footnote. The stick chassis is not built yet. I know it is more expensive than a pimpcane but we bought the stick because we wanted one. However for the price the pimpcane is a brilliant piece of fun. If it does eventually break, for the price, just buy another.

The vid's not working for me, don't know why.

EDIT: Ignore that, for some reason Google video isn't working for me at all.

Myself, Moondust and Wallz met again today at Staithes. All the trucks ran good today. I personally think that this area will really test your truck out as due to the nature of the rocks there are a lot of cambers and vertical surfaces you have to encounter. Also if you are not careful you can lose yourtruck between the rocks. [ask Wallaz ]. It would be nice if anyone else would like to meet us there.

Aye, another good days crawling had by all. Wasn't a promising start when I left the house at 8:00am as it was lashing down with rain. Things improved considerably on the run down and we even got some sunshine through the day. Trucks were good after we got Tronk's running 4 wheel drive (dirty motor brushes) until I killed the fron servo horn. At that time it was decided to call it a day. Truck losses were kept to a minimum although it was very close at one point .

I reckon this site would make a brilliant competition are for Super sized trucks if we could get enough interested people. If not Tronk, Moondust1950 and myself will have to keep it to ourselves.

Thanks again lads.

Hey Wallz.

What we need is people with small trucks so they fall down the holes.
