Took my cross rc sg4 out. It’s got some unusual quirks but I like it. It’s got an scx10.2 skid, links, and axles. I’ve got it to sit a bit lower but it still flops over like a full size bronco on a windy day. Either way it’s a fun truck and looks cool.

Nice video! Are you running an Axial transmission (3 gear) or just mounted the Cross transfer case to the Axial skid? I have a KR4C and it’s a really fun truck. Didn’t get it with the intention of using it for a comp truck so it’s a very enjoyable truck to take on the trails.

Thanks for watching and commenting King Dork! It’s got the Demon G2 gearbox and transfer case mounted to a scx10.2 skid. I had to drill some holes in the skid and for the frame for it to work but it wasn’t to big of a project.

Thanks for the details! I put the updated gearbox in mine when I built it. Haven’t heard of anybody using SCX10.2 axles, etc on a Demon so great to know that it can be done.

The ar44 axles are a good upgrade for the demon chassis. They are actually almost a bolt in job and will work with with the stock link geometry with a little fiddling. I went with a UCfab servo on axle mount for the front. But you gotta use a three piece axle housing as the one piece axle housing with the truss on it won’t work for a servo on axle set up.
