I had an absolute blast. I do wish I had either star cut the foams or just left them out completely, tho. traction on that wood ladder going up to the first obstacle was pathetic. when I saw the pics I thought the course was going to be easy. HELL NO! those grey obstacles are slick as all get out! get them rhino lined in grey!

sadly, no. the third round was just for the top 5 scoring people in the previous 2 rounds and I wasn't one of them. oh well. I did run the course they ran before and it was pretty challenging

I too had a blast, sadly the 2.2 mudslingers were no match the the grey manmades. I did however take some serious notes and we will return with a better prepared rig. Although not bad for driving the truck only one time briefly before the comp. Todd |

yea, I heard someone say that the sticky 2.2 slingers are the sh1t. I would definitely look into a TCS boomerang rear link mount and set it up with the right link under the plate and the left link above the plate in order to pretty much get rid of torque twist without having to play around with preload or spring rates. your rig looked to have a hell of a lot of torque twist. of course, as to not be hypocritical I should probably do that mod myself. my rig could probably use that mod and some shorter shocks and a little massaging done on the foams. and weighs in the wheels. the list goes on and on yea, they zipped around a bit after the comp 2.2s were done running. I ran over the metallic red bodied one with my axial accidentally, and had the jeep bodied one run into my foot a few times Last edited by Slyp Dawg; 02-09-2008 at 05:59 PM. |

i hope everyone had a great time at the comp. i know i did. thanks to dave, mark, joe, and anyone else who helped organized the event. definitely need to keep this going. sorry for the guys who waited for the 3rd 2.2 comp course, due to the time, we only had time to run the top 5. for the first organized comp for VARCOR, it went smooth. with a few tweaks, the next one with be smoother. |
