| anybody work for northrop, or in newport news
Hey all I live out here in so cal, but I just got accepted to the Apprentice School that Northrop Grummin owns in Newport News and I should be headin out there later this year, so I just wanted to see if there were any fellow crawlers workin there or in the area |

your in luck, there are a good bit of us around here. a few great hobby shops in the area and one has an indoor crawl track they are building and another has an outdoor they are working on as well!

There is acually a good place to crawl right up the street from the shipyard. Its called huntington beach and there are plenty of rocks right next to the boat ramp to crawl on. It is at the foot of the james river bridge on the newport news side.

well ill be out there from june 3rd to june 7th if anybody wants to meet up and show us around, it would be coll to talk to someone who knows the area

congrats on the apprentice job... i can't show you around in june but VARCOR will be having events during your time at the school. and like chvy said, there are a few spots near you. may not be socal style, but the right coast holds it own!!!

Dude just read your post. I work for Northrop. What dept. are you in? I am new to the crawling scene and am working on an AX10. Need a place to test. Any ideas where? |

| We are in Newport News and work for NG
My boyfriend and I work for NG as contractors. He has the new AX10 he looking put through some paces. Who ever recommended Huntington Beach great idea. I hadnt thought of there. If anyone else is looking to head out there we would be in meeting up.

well I just got word from northrop and ill be starting school on october 6th and I should be out there a month before that, and then you guys can bow before my mighty crawler lol

Might head out there this weekend. Went out on Saturday and the tide was really high. So as long as the tide isn't extremely high we may be out there Sat. |

well as of this momnet I am no longer goin out there. the school wont let me in because of an injusry to my leg I had earlier this year. So I have to wait till its completely healed before I can go. but once im out there ill be bringin all I got |

ok, please educate me once again... what the heck is northorp? please, be easy on me. i'm sure it's somewhere that everyone knows of, but me. i'm thinking it's a company... am i right? i've already been humiliated on the "nova" issue, so what do i have to lose?
