Trail ride after the Rock Race on the 26th

Thor and I would like to do some trail riding after the rock race on the 26th of July. I believe Mark said Belle Island would be a great place for this. We also want to bash the Slashs. Who's in. LMk Thanks

hey, this is davey. you guys aren't talking about the night run are you? anyway, you can definitley count me in. it will be nice to be able to trail ride after making a bumbling idiot out of myself at the comp today. the poison spyder seemed to perform really well, however, i couldn't technically run it for points in 2.2 scale since it doesn't run a ladder chassis but i will maybe try to aliviate that dilema. i had heard talk of a fall series. you don't anything about that do you.

I believe Joe is talking about just going out next Saturday afternoon/evening, not sure about the night run.

We've been discussing a fall VARCOR series for comp and/or scale but nothing official, we'll be positing on our site about it sometime soon.

Talked to Joe yesterday and he said the rock race checkin is 10:00 am. I'm not sure if they are still doing the show and shine or not but if you wanted to bring a truck for that I guess you could. Also for the trail run after the rock race comp is TBD. They wanted to go to Belle Isle, but it depends on the temperature. If it's too hot, they'll just go to FHP in the shade. If anyone wants to go to the trail run but do not plan on attending the rock race, you may want to PM scooteracing to give some contact info so that someone can contact you from HT when they decide where to go. Unless you guys make a decision beforehand. Maybe Joe will post with more info if he has any.

I am not trying to hijack a thread but I was wondering how far south you guys run? I am out of Roanoke and would be willing to drive a bit to get to a comp.

We haven't traveled further south or west than Richmond, VA.....yet. We do go up north to Fredericksburg to one spot but we have three locations in Richmond. I know there are many more places around the state, especially out your way and in NorVA. The problem is that I can't find anyone that lives in those areas to do some scouting and line up a spot to do a comp or GTG. And I do not know enough about the areas nor do I have the time to take a scouting trip in those areas to find the locations myself. However, I would gladly travel out to Roanoke, or up to Great Falls if there was a good crawling spot.

I will try to do a scouting trip and get some spots looked at. I can think of a couple good area's to look. Will let you know.
