Default Lake Accotink Park - decent spot for the NOVA folks

Lake Accotink Park is located in Springfield, VA. Here is the website:
http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/accotink/

Directions: Lake Accotink may be reached from I-95 by taking Old Keene Mill Rd. west to right on Hanover Ave. Turn left on Highland Ave. and then right on Accotink Park Rd. Entrance is on the left.

When you park in the gravel parking lot. Head towards the damn and look to the left. There are a few piles of busted up concrete and if you cross over the walkway there are a few beds of rocks. That's all I have found so far. I didn't have much time to look around the place.

I took my MRC out there and played on the concrete for about a half hour. I would have probably been bored if I stayed any longer but it's a good place to go for a quick fix. A 2.2 would probably get boring even faster. There may even be more places to crawl than what I found. I think a scaler would be a lot of fun on the rock beds and on the shore lines of the creek.
