I hope everyone realizes I was joking about the plastic wheels, but yeah they work as a back up, no plastic wheels here either.... But yeah, I wouldn't go any less than a 7950 hitec, sure I wish I had a little more grunt sometimes but most(99%) of the time it's fine... a good servo will ultimately come down to what are you willing to spend on that one piece, oh and dont forget a CC BEC, you'll regret not putting one on at first if you dont. There are plenty of guys around with xr's in some form or another so feel to ask what you want, also the xr threads are a wealth of knowledge on these. |

Do you plan on running stock wheels because they will not fit VP knuckles.

The max width is 12.5 inches. If you are going to run slw's all the way around. I would start with 475 up front and 600 out back. I run DH II WITH A 585 and 600's out back

i havent had any with the mantis but its all what u want to build. and with it being a torsion chassis it will be a whole different way of tuning. but u never know it might be ur cup of tea.

from what I've read people seem to really like it, but they are also running a lot of weight as well it seems to make it work right. If you dont mind a "heavy" rig then it should work well, but like poor boy said, it's a whole different world as far as tuning goes.

| Naw! You don't get near the control with 1 esc. You have the right idea...stick with the DUAL FXR's! Last edited by DiggyStyle; 11-13-2011 at 05:43 PM. |

| He asked if you needed 1 or 2 esc's with a punk dig, I just answered his question. I in no way was recommending that setup, I run dual fxr's myself. Last edited by ROWDY RACING; 11-13-2011 at 06:20 PM. |
