There's only so many parks in NN. Lots of decent spots to crawl around there though.

I'm available this weekend Saturday and Sunday. Planning on going to pony pasture one of those days, probably Sunday. I've got to do some real testing with my X-Trail and K2. I've got another place further south down the river at City Point in Hopewell where the James meets the Appomatox river, it's a bit tough for a 1.9 - http://www.rccrawler.com//forum/show...887#post835887, I was thinking about taking the 2.2 and Pro Fisherman out there too if possible.

If anyone else wants to go, let me know. PM me.

i'm over at va beach also, there isn't to many places to go for local rock crawling. i've been collecting rocks for a "rock garden" but other wise it's been mostly trail riding.
i'm in richmond during the week (chesterfield) area. where is pony pasture?

It's down Riverside Drive, near the Huguenot bridge, easy to get to.

It's part of the James River Park system

Do you commute to Chesterfield? I sometimes go out after work but its getting harder now that its going to be getting darker earlier.

I'm going to Pony Pasture this Sunday, planned to be sometime around 1 - 2 PM. I know that Scooteracing will be there with his sons so if anyone else wants to head out we can try and have a GTG.

I'll be running a 1.9 and 2.2, actually testing both of them as they have not even been out on any major rocks. Just plan on doing some crawling and some trailing and we'll find some course lines to run. Should be fun.

If anyone's interested, let me know.

it the river access off of River Side Dr bellow Forest Hill Park. if your on Forest Hill Ave take 42nd St. toward the river and then a right on River Side Dr and the parking lot is up on your right. thens its just a short walk to the creek. its another one of the james river park system.
its on your park map as reedy creek access

i should be able to go. just depends on what the vet bill is on saturday. i got the wheel spacer issue solved (mr. dremel), working on shortening the WB to 12.5" with or without those servo plates i'm waiting on. just need to make a plug adaptor and mount a set of spare tires.

can someone give me directions from vabch - I64?

Guess I'll be heading down river to try out Reedy Creek sometime soon now. If there is a lot of terrain like the pics, looks like a good place.
Well, I should still be able to go this Sunday but as my gf's dad was just admitted to the hospital last night I can't say for 100%. I'll know more tomorrow.

Scooteracing, you're still going Sunday, right? Do you want to try Reedy Creek too? We need to set a time and place to meet up.

baldchrs, too bad you can't make it, maybe next time. I like your truck, what is the white on the back of the body?

swell searcher, PM me and I can give you my number. We can meet somewhere in Richmond if you want and you can follow us.
