VaScalers is hosting the first ever Camel Trophy Scale Challenge.


The course will be over 1 hour long, with challenges that will include but not limited to mud-pits, bridges/floating bridges, winch hills, water, hill climbs. This event will be a team based event. Each team will have 3 members that will be randomly decided the day of the event. The main goal for this event will be helping your team complete the course in the fastest time, while progressing gates and obstacles.

To keep things on a level playing field we are going to keep all tire sizes as class 1. That just means the tires need to be under 4.19"

Waterproofing is highly recommended, as there will be creek crossings, puddles, and mud. Also, each team will need at least one truck with a winch, but the more winches the faster each team will be able to complete a tough obstacle. There will places where a winch will be absolutely necessary.


The event will be graciously hosted at Kunas' house.

Man I had a great time today, and I did nothing but video most of the day!

Next time you can be sure I'll have a truck built that fits the rules. This course is so fun already, and it's just starting to get broken in.

Working in teams of three trucks is such a cool format.

anytime Big mike, thanks for coming out and running video hopefully next time you will have a truck that will run in the comp and let someone else run the camera, we have countless lines that we can run out here its a pretty good scaler spot, we can run class 2 and 3 scale comps out here if we want im open for anything scaler related Ron

we have some more in the works, i think the next comp will be a standard class 2 comp.we will have another or 2 camel trophy challenge this summer/fall for sure seems like this one was a sucess Ron
