Re: Anybody close to Roanoke?

Christiansburg here. I'll have to check that place out sometime soon.

I'm thinking about starting a NRV Crawling Club. Share ideas, sell and trade, and of course get together. We have a disc gold course in the woods in Christiansburg that's full of good trails. It lies between two ridges so theres mountain sides and a valley with a little creek.

I'm still new to the hobby though. But it wpuld be awesome to meet others in the area!

Pulaski, Dublin area here.
Myself and a few others used to crawl at Waldron several years ago, back when you could still drive up the center of the big rock.
Haven't been back there for some time.

I would be interested in knowing where these trails are in C-burg that you mentioned. Sounds like a interesting place for running trucks. "thumbsup"

Also a couple guys down this way started a FB page called NRV Scalers if you want to check that out as well.

Its just off of 460 next to the Frog Pond pool and the waste collectiin center... Appealing. I know. ;-) Its a lot of fun. The trails arent super traveled (50/50) but they are pretty free of vegettion still. There's also a huge open field right next to it that is part of a land fill the used to be ball fields. They took down the fences and its good for 1/10 and 1/8 scale bashing.

Heres the link
Mid-County Park

Gotcha, I was wondering if that was the park you were referring to.
I haven't been there in years.
Used to be you would turn across from Corning and go in to it but after they built 460 the way they did I see that is cut off.
May have to go check that out one day.
Thanks
