It was lot of fun. I'm downloading the pics now, hope to upload some by tonight or tomorrow after resizing. Tried to shoot some video too, but not sure how that did.
We tried going to Reedy Creek first, took us a while to find it and when we did it was closed, is it only open on weekdays? The river level was still perfect, leaving lots of big exposed rocks. There was some carnage done, as will be seen done to the chevy body, but for the most part, not much damage. I had to fix a shaft that was popping out, that's about it. We'll have to plan a weekday evening run.

as far as I now its open daily from sun up till dusk, you might have went to the next park a=down the road and I think it is closed all the time.
I went down friday after work for a little bit but I have striped something in the rear axle. so i need to order some new parts and get it fixed.

Look at the pic on this map. Is this where you are going at Reedy Creek? Close to the description.

Looks like a lot of rock and not much river in that satellite pic. May have to check that out.

that looks like the back side of Belles island. with the river being down it would proboly be pretty cool. wonder when they took that pic there is normally water over there. i've been down there before but I can remember if there is an easy way to it.
here is another place we might nee to go scoop out. http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8&...&t=h&z=18&om=1
you cant see it but under the bridge is so large area of rip rap and I think you can get down to the river. we walked to it from the end of semmes but there were cars park under the bridge. I think you can drive in from 360 somehow.
my truck is down for a couple days untill I can get parts for the rear axle but I would be gaem for a scouting trip sometime after work or maybe this weekend.

I'm willing to go check out a few places, its just that right now my job is working me too much and I'm not getting off until late, usually dark, doesn't help that it's getting darker earlier each day. If I think I'm going to have the chance one evening and I know a head of time, I'll let you know. I usually have two trucks with me, so you can run one of mine if yours is not running and if we find something somewhere, we can test it right then.

What bridge are you refering to, Robert E. Lee, can't tell from the link? We'll have to look into Belle Isle and that spot for sure. I thought the river was higher now than in that pic too, but we'll see.

I still haven't been to Reedy Creek.

how about sunday afternoon again? or saturday? I dont have much going on this weekend. I'm not sure of the name of the bridge if you go to the end of semmes and turn left you go across it.
my part should be in thursday or friday and then I'll be back up and running.

I won't be able to make it this weekend. I'l be at Lake Gaston. You guys will have fun though. Try to take some more pics, I'd like to see the terrain.

I'm gonna miss Reedy Creek again.
